Yes, our standard payment process allows buyers to pay the final balance after a successful third-party inspection is complete but before the vehicle is shipped from China.

This staged payment structure is designed to build trust and provide financial security for both you, the international buyer, and us as your export partner. It ensures you can verify the vehicle’s condition before committing the full payment, while we can secure payment before incurring non-refundable international shipping costs.

How the Pre-Shipment Payment Process Works

For most new and used vehicle orders, the payment and inspection workflow follows four clear steps:

  1. Initial Deposit: After you confirm your vehicle selection and receive a CIF or FOB quotation, a small initial deposit (typically 30%) is required. This deposit secures the vehicle for you and covers the administrative costs of preparing it for inspection and export.

  2. Independent Vehicle Inspection: This is the most critical step for your peace of mind. Before the final payment is due, the vehicle undergoes a thorough check. To ensure complete impartiality, Starvia Automotive can arrange a 200-Point SGS/BV Inspection conducted by globally recognized third-party agencies. You will receive a detailed report with photos and analysis covering the engine, electronics, body, and overall condition, confirming it meets export standards.

  3. Final Balance Payment: Once you receive and approve the inspection report, you transfer the remaining 70% of the vehicle’s cost. This confirms your satisfaction with the vehicle's verified condition and authorizes us to proceed with the shipping arrangements.

  4. Shipment and Documentation: As soon as Starvia Automotive confirms receipt of the final payment, our logistics team books the vehicle for RoRo or container shipping to your destination port. We then prepare and send you all the necessary export documentation for a smooth customs clearance process upon arrival.

A Process Built on Transparency

Structuring payments around a successful inspection is a hallmark of a professional auto exporter. It removes the uncertainty of buying a vehicle from overseas and ensures you get exactly what you paid for. This transparent workflow protects your investment and is a core part of how we’ve successfully shipped vehicles to over 50 countries since 2002.
