When software version is entered on a checklist, the fields must support review and should not simply say "confirmed." Record the source, version, applicable vehicle, and expiry date for arrival photos, PDI work orders, software status, and customer receipt checklists, and include a field for exception handling. This allows a new owner of the task to understand the basis and trace accountability before vehicles are handed directly to customers after arriving at the dealership, allowing transport-status or configuration issues to spill over.
